SpoonRocket Delivers Its Millionth Meal

The company will celebrate the milestone throughout the week by rewarding one deserving customer and charity.

“We are so proud to reach this incredible milestone, and see our business evolve from a simple idea to a Bay Area go-to for customers needing good food, fast,” said Steven Hsiao, CEO, SpoonRocket. “We’re excited to commemorate this accomplishment with our customers and communities where we live and work.”

The company expects to reach one million meals the week of September 14th and will surprise one customer whose meal hits the one millionth mark with one-year of free SpoonRocket meals. To view the complete rules, visit eat.sr/1MillionthMeal.

In addition, SpoonRocket is partnering with Berkeley-based charity Building Opportunities for Self Sufficiency (BOSS). The company will donate meals in support of BOSS’ food program serving homeless individuals and families training for jobs in food service and other careers. SpoonRocket will deliver BOSS residents its new organic meals that will be featured daily on the menu starting this week. Customers can also support BOSS by making donations on SpoonRocket’s website and mobile apps through Sunday, September 20th.

“We are grateful for SpoonRocket’s donations and for the opportunity to celebrate this milestone by sharing meals with people in need,” said Donald Frazier, BOSS Executive Director. “BOSS provides meals to over 150 people a day in our shelter programs, and we are also training unemployed individuals to learn food service skills so they can eventually find work in businesses like SpoonRocket!”

SpoonRocket offers breakfast, lunch and dinner ranging from $5.95 to $11.95, including a $2.50 flat delivery fee for the East Bay and $2.75 for San Francisco. Meals can be ordered 7 days a week through SpoonRocket’s website or through apps for iOS and Android devices.

The idea for SpoonRocket started with a mission to revolutionize fast food by delivering delicious meals in a matter of minutes. The company has also been recognized as “Best Delivery Service” in both the East Bay Express “Best of the East Bay” and San Francisco Magazine’s “Best Places to Eat in SF”.
