TDC Group Honours Comptel as Best Performing IT Project Team

For the second consecutive year, Denmark’s largest telecommunications operator recognised Comptel as a key vendor in its IT ecosystem helping to reinforce TDC’s strategic focus of making customer experience a top priority. Comptel’s project development team was praised, in particular, for its technical acumen and seamless collaboration with TDC and partner TCS during the rollout of TDC’s third-party fibre inventory system.

TDC was pursuing an aggressive strategy for offering fibre-based services to its existing and prospective subscriber base. To do this, TDC needed to acquire existing fibre networks from other operators, while building out its own and partnering with other fibre network owners to sell TDC’s services. In particular, TDC needed to integrate its inventory registration processes onto TREFOR’s external network after signing a contract with the utility company.

TDC, an existing FlowOne Fulfillment and EventLink customer, deployed Comptel’s Inventory solution as one of the key systems to support its new fibre strategy. The Nordic telecommunications firm also contracted Comptel’s project development team for support, analysis, configuration and delivery of specific inventory enhancements. During the testing period, Comptel’s team delivered various changes to support TDC’s program, and aided the integrator and TDC in the testing of the fibre solution.

“We entrusted Comptel to execute the most difficult yet critical aspect of the fibre inventory rollout, and the team exceeded our expectations,” said Jan Buchwald, head of IT, internal & operational support systems (OSS), TDC. “Comptel’s project development team was professional, knowledgeable and dedicated, and their tireless efforts were instrumental in the success of our new fibre program with TREFOR.”

“We are honoured to receive this award for the second year in a row, which demonstrates the shared commitment Comptel and our digital and communications service provider customers have to each other,” said Juhani Hintikka, president and CEO, Comptel. “Our work with TDC is a prime example of how Comptel manages IT complexity and reduces friction amongst operators’ most critical operational and business processes, to help them achieve optimal customer satisfaction. We look forward to continuing to help TDC innovate today to tackle their future challenges.”
