[PRESSWIRE] Austin, Texas – October 14, 2025 — Internationally recognized artist Jeff Muhs will unveil a new large-scale sculpture as part of the debut of Apex Gallery, a fine art initiative presented by Christopher Martin Gallery, during the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas (COTA), October 17–19, 2025.
Muhs’s monumental work—composed of reclaimed and prefabricated motorcycle components—is a striking study in transformation, balance, and velocity. Echoing the engineering intensity of Formula 1, the sculpture translates mechanical form into fine art, blurring the boundaries between performance, precision, and aesthetic abstraction.
At once industrial and organic, the piece captures Muhs’s ongoing exploration of motion as both a physical and philosophical force. His use of raw material—transfigured through meticulous craftsmanship—extends a lineage of sculptural innovation that engages with themes of movement, transformation, and the poetic beauty found within engineered form.
“Jeff Muhs’s practice exemplifies the alchemy of contemporary sculpture,” said Christopher Martin, founder of Christopher Martin Gallery. “His work embodies the tension between chaos and control, which makes his debut with Apex Gallery during Formula 1 a profound and fitting dialogue between art and velocity.”
