The CBI, in partnership with publishers St James’s House, launched CBI: 50 Years of Business Innovation on March 4 at a VIP reception at its flagship offices in Cannon Place, central London

With contributions from business leaders, leading economists and industry experts, the handsome 228-page hardback publication, produced in partnership with publisher St James’s House, charts the unique role that the CBI has played in championing British business over the past 50 years, and sets out the organisation’s vision for the future.

The CBI’s Director-general, John Cridland, said that he was “very proud” of the publication.

He added: “what you have managed to do with this fabulous book, is bring out the excitement of business, the innovation of business, the basic fun of being an entrepreneur.”

The Managing Director of St James’s House, Richard Freed, commented: “Working with the CBI on such a milestone publication has been a real honour, and we’re thrilled with the outcome. We’re confident that the publication will be well received by readers and CBI members worldwide.”
