CMTC Supports Manufacturers and Educators for National Manufacturing Day

The national day was established in 2012 to expand the knowledge about and improve the public’s perception of manufacturing careers and the industry’s value to the U.S. economy.

On National Manufacturing Day, manufacturers, associations and educational institutions will open their doors to hold events and tours for groups including students and educators, media members, community leaders, legislative representatives and local businesses.

The events will give outsiders an opportunity to learn more about the diverse career opportunities in the industry and enable visitors to experience manufacturing processes and products. Open houses will particularly help improve the millennial generation’s perception of manufacturing.

Of note, several manufacturers who are part of the CMTC Made in CA Program will be hosting events throughout the region. They include:

Aleph Group – Riverside
Devoll’s Rubber Products – Adelanto
Green Field Paper Company – San Diego
Modroto – La Mirada
Quality Controlled Manufacturing – Santee

Some educational highlights of interest include:

LA Valley College – Congressman Tony Cardenas will meet with manufacturers, educators and students
International Trade Education Programs
Cerritos College
College of the Canyons
Institute of Technology
Fresno County Office of Education
Glendale Community College Manufacturing Day
