The campaign is geared towards helping raise money to donate to the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center in order to help provide homeless LGBT with the support and shelter they need to have a chance at a life that is filled with opportunities.
The campaign begins during the month of February with a “Tweet for Teens” effort, in which Aaron Savvy Fitness LLC will donate $10 for every 10 people that follow http://twitter.com/SavvyFit who tweet “Get #savvyandwell with aaronsavvy.com.” The goal of the “Tweet for Teens” effort is to heighten awareness and support for homeless LGBT teens, in addition to reminding the community of the detrimental issues (such as depression, drug abuse, and suicide) that LGBT teens are still facing.
“As a society it is essential to do our part to support the next generation. Although there have been many strides made in the LGBT community, we must not forget that many LGBT teens are still facing adversity. I am pleased to have an opportunity to support the youth of today. This is our chance to make a difference”, commented Aaron Savvy.
In addition to the “Tweet for Tweens” effort, Aaron will be donating a portion of proceeds from any fitness plan purchased from his website (www.aaronsavvy.com) during the month of February to support programs designed to support LGBT teens. The “Savvy and Well” campaign will be running throughout 2011 year.
