The project will initially create approximately 25 new jobs – and that number is expected to grow to more than 125 in the region as the company further expands its line operations and builds out its tooling.
The Frackville plant, which brings Clearly Clean’s total number of locations to seven, will produce the company’s patented 100% recyclable, smooth-edged Roll Over-Wrap™ trays and vacuum-sealed packaging (VSP) trays as well as its patented, award-winning, recyclable modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) trays. Clearly Clean’s recyclable food trays can be utilized for meat, poultry, seafood, produce, and deli. They can also be customized in terms of size, shape, and color.
Numerous citywide and countywide bans on polystyrene (“Styrofoam”-type foamed plastics) – combined with consumer pressure and corporate commitment — are fueling the demand for eco-friendly packaging and accelerating the sustainability timelines of many organizations. Clearly Clean’s trays utilize PET, the same material used in recyclable water bottles, offering a recyclable, smooth-edged tray option to grocery stores, food processors, and packaging distributors.
