ROTHSCHILD SAFARIS BREAKS NEW GROUND IN GLOBAL LUXURY MARKET

“Our holidays are distinguished from those of typical operators by a more authentic experience and personal service,” explains Leora Rothschild, President of Rothschild Safaris.

The company is a three-time winner of Travel & Leisure’s World’s Best Safari Outfitter award, and 2019 will herald yet another accolade with the company’s inclusion in an official coffee-table book for The International Club for Rolls-Royce & Bentley Enthusiasts (RREC), titled Exploring the Extraordinary, to be launched in the summer at Grosvenor House in London, UK.

Founded in 1957 and headquartered in the UK, the RREC has nearly 10,000 members around the world who are united by an enthusiasm for Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars. Since 2007, publisher St James’s House – part of the SJH Group – has produced official publications for the club and hosted its official book launches, exhibitions and celebrations at venues that have included Windsor Castle, Kensington Palace, Goodwood House and the Saatchi Gallery.

“For 2019, we’re producing a luxury lifestyle publication for distribution to club members and through Rolls-Royce and Bentley dealerships around the world,” says CEO of the SJH Group, Richard Freed. “Travel is one of the main subject areas for the publication, and our editorial team identified Rothschild Safaris as a perfect editorial fit for the book.”

Rothschild Safaris offers holidays across east, north and southern Africa, South America, South Asia and Australasia, with packages to suit all levels of adventure, from a mountain gorilla trek in Rwanda to a relaxing beachside break in Zanzibar. There are holidays for single travellers, families, retirees and honeymooners – essentially anyone with a desire to broaden their global horizons. In addition to exploring the natural environment, the company’s authentic holidays might entail meeting local communities, participating in cultural activities or visiting a popular local restaurant (rather than one of those on the typical tourist trail).

The company’s adventures are also entirely bespoke. “Every detail, from flights to accommodation, dining and excursions, is tailored to a customer’s needs and wishes,” says Susanna Cloete-Jones, Brand and Communications Manager. The company is also distinguished by the depth of its regional knowledge. As Leora Rothschild explains, “In an industry dominated by corporations, it is increasingly difficult to find travel companies that provide travellers with first-hand experience. We pride ourselves on doing that: all of our consultants have had local exposure and training to create really special, memorable and often life-changing experiences for our clients.”

Reflecting on Rothschild Safaris’ inclusion in Exploring the Extraordinary, Leora Rothschild says, “It’s a refreshing honour to share our story as an editorial partner in a publication that celebrates the extraordinary, which is precisely what Rothschild Safaris strives for.”

“From an editorial perspective, safaris are ideal for delivering compelling and escapist stories,” says Richard Freed. “It’s difficult to beat their combination of wildlife photography and first-hand anecdotes, and it’s been a real pleasure to work with Rothschild Safaris and bring their holidays to life for our readers.”
