The opening of the Fashion City will be accompanied by the International Fashion Fairs and the Economic Forum chaired by President Lech Wałęsa. 3 thousand exhibitors and 100 thousand visitors are expected to participate in this landmark event.

PTAK Fashion City has been established by diversifying the previous activity of the PTAK Wholesale and Retail Trade Centre, operating since 1993, as well as by adding new forms of business activity, including PTAK EXPO, the largest European fashion fairs, Ptak Moda, the major Polish clothing showroom that conducts direct and online sales, and the largest Polish Outlet.

PTAK Fashion City currently occupies an area of 250 thousand square metres, attracting 6 million international customers annually.

PTAK Fashion City will house a permanent visual studio of Fashion TV. It will feature fashion shows of both Polish and international designers, to be broadcast worldwide.

Ptak Fashion City goes in line with the long-lasting tradition of Łódź in the field of manufacture and trade in clothing and knitwear. Currently over 100 thousand people are connected with the Fashion City, and over 10 thousand have already been offered jobs in it. Further major investments and developments are planned to be executed in ten years’ time. Along with the currently available facilities, the total canopied area will reach 1,000,000 m2. The redevelopment of the Fashion City is estimated to cost over 600 million euro.
