Green Energy: Power Clouds Wins the Solar Awards 2014

Other key players in the industry such as Panasonic, PERC Production Solutions, LG Electronics, SolarEdge Technology and Rexel have been chosen as outstanding examples of innovation in photovoltaic systems.

With a proven track record in project management, counting 53,000 participants in more than 110 countries and 15 shared power plants with a total value of $60 million, Power Clouds (http://www.powerclouds.com) has been awarded the prestigious “Business Project Development” award given by the Solar Industry Award (http://www.solarinternationalawards.net).

Solar Energy Award Manager, Jackie Cannon, stated that: “These awards have been created to recognise the whole value chain and those people, products and services that will develop innovative manufacturing and product approaches that have the potential to change the way we live.”

Only a few days ago, on 13 September, Power Clouds CEO presented to Romanian officials the fourth and the fifth solar plants in Nucet; implementing the company’s business development plan in Romania. The event marked a strategic cooperation between Power Clouds and the local population as well as local institutions (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itfZY-L0tfY&list=UUWG6CEMl9zFR0g9zb6ZuDQQ).

The Business Project Development plan envisions that the output from the 15 shared solar power plants is estimated to be around 555 million KWh (for an average of 30 years). Such production will determine a reduction of CO2 emissions of over 270.000 tons, which is the equivalent of planting 7 million new trees. This data has been produced by using the Greenhouse Gas Equivalencies Calculator of the US Environmental Protection Agency.

Mr. Roberto Forlani, who has been the executive mind and soul of the project argues that: “Power Clouds, despite its brief history on the market and fierce competition, has been chosen as the archetype of Business Project Development due to its impressive portfolio and visionary leadership in the world. With impressive results, Power Clouds has shown itself to be one of the biggest solar energy producers in the world, implementing the most ambitious business project ever conceived on the market.”

In an increasingly interconnected world which is becoming aware of the complexity of the challenges of climate change, Mr. Roberto Forlani argued that: “The philosophy and underlying principles of Power Clouds are in line with those advocated by global leaders like President Obama and Ban Ki Moon, whose unswerving commitment inspires our mission and business model. Our social responsibility towards environment goes further than a mere business interest. We strongly believe in the theories propounded by Mr. Jeremy Rifkin, who argues that only a shared network of solar energy production can ultimately satisfy the need of global citizenry. We are therefore extremely proud to work with thousands of civilians worldwide on the front line, and also with influential decision makers who are working to find tangible solutions to one of the most pressingly important issues of our time.”
