Eccrine Systems is Awarded $3.96M US Air Force Contract

The award is focused on the development of a next generation, non-invasive sensing system for the monitoring of specific molecular biomarkers in human sweat. Development efforts will leverage the progress of previous sweat sensing R&D projects performed in collaboration with the University of Cincinnati and the AFRL. Eccrine is partnering with UC for portions of this new project and will utilize the AFRL’s advanced testing capabilities at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.

“We are very pleased to be selected by the AFRL Human Effectiveness Directorate for development of this next generation sweat sensing system,” commented Robert Beech, Eccrine’s Chairman & CEO. “This important award will accelerate the development of advanced sweat sensing capabilities that are essential to the non-invasive monitoring of key physiological indicators.”

The project will start this month and continue into the latter part of 2018.
