Massive Interactive Connects Flexible Massive AXIS Video App UI Platform with Video Logistics Management to Simplify Content Streaming

The Massive AXIS platform provides customizable video apps along with an intuitive drag and drop interface that allows editorial teams to centrally manage, schedule and update content and UIs across any device.

This news follows a successful deployment for Comic-Con HQ (CCHQ) for Lionsgate during San Diego Comic Con. The CCHQ service provides subscription access to live-streamed CCHQ programming and panel events, as well as original scripted and unscripted series, recurring daily and weekly entertainment commentary, and a highly-curated selection of film and TV genre titles. With this service, Massive and IBM Cloud Video will support Lionsgate in extending the reach of Comic-Con HQ to an increasing number of connected devices. IBM Cloud Video is a trusted partner for major video entertainment providers, driving new revenue through accelerated video monetization.

The IBM Cloud Video platform helps content owners and aggregators publish offerings to both direct-to-consumer streaming apps and to third party video services. The platform provides robust video workflows, catalog publishing and subscriber management components to deliver a comprehensive Over-The-Top content (OTT) solution where video content is delivered directly to the end user or video service.

By combining Massive AXIS with the IBM Cloud Video platform, customers can benefit from the full capabilities of two leading solutions, with robust back-end video logistics workflow and front-end multi-device applications and user experience control.

“The importance of delivering content to multiple devices cannot be understated, which is why our customers need a proven product that can deliver smart, robust video management and app control,” said David Mowrey, Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at IBM Cloud Video. “Massive’s approach places the intelligence inside the cloud to not only streamline product development but also deliver a consistent multiscreen experience. This partnership highlights the potential to build entire OTT video properties on cloud-based services as a way of radically enhancing system flexibility and resulting user experiences.”

“This relationship illustrates our shared vision and continued commitment to delivering true customer value through our offering of pioneering and mutually complementary proven technologies,” says Alex Drosin, President of Massive North America. “With this partnership, our joint customers can deliver high-end video products within a scalable and proven cloud environment. In addition to accelerating the process of going to market, our customers will also benefit from enhanced workflow efficiencies and performance gains due to the content, processing and distribution workloads all being within the same platform.“

The Massive AXIS and IBM Cloud Video solution will be available on Massive’s IBC booth – Hall 14:B20.
