Binary Tree recruits IT transformations expert

McEwan spearheads Binary Tree’s commitment to its EMEA clients as they embark on Microsoft cloud transformations and to plan, move and manage that process.

“We are the innovative company that Microsoft’s customers turn to when they’re ready to take their business to the next step and need industry-leading experience,” said Binary Tree CRO Ryan Niemann. “Ian’s expertise throughout EMEA positions us to help clients and partners with the finer points of an enterprise transformation and the successful execution of plan, move and manage that achieves business outcomes.”

McEwan joins Binary Tree’s established global leadership team with Scott Kohn, vice president of the Americas, and Stefan Af Bjur, managing director of Asia-Pacific.

Binary Tree, an independently owned company, focuses on partnering with clients to modernize their infrastructures. Whether it’s transitioning from IBM Notes to Exchange or Office 365 with the use of Notes Migrator or retiring Domino and moving applications to SharePoint, Office 365 or Azure, Binary Tree identifies solutions that fit each client’s needs in adoption and implementation of Microsoft solutions.

“Binary Tree has a strong team that is committed to growth,” McEwan said. “I’m looking forward to fortifying our EMEA presence, while ensuring that clients who opted into Microsoft’s platform increase their user adoption of the software in the midst of transformation.”

Binary Tree effectively minimizes downtime for its clients, staying on time and under budget as well as achieving a minimum impact on overall production throughout the company’s migration to Microsoft.

“Helping clients lift and shift migration strategies that enable them to utilize their current architecture – without having to re-engineer everything – is important to me and to Binary Tree,” continued McEwan.

Previously, McEwan served as the general manager for California-based Egnyte, where he was responsible for EMEA regional operations. He’s an avid sportsman who spends his free time as a skiing coach, a skill that serves him well in the workforce.
