Franklin Energy Signs Major Energy Efficiency Contract with Con Edison

Franklin Energy will work with Con Edison to install lighting solutions for 27,000 residential customers in Brooklyn and Queens over the next year. The energy management program will also educate and encourage customers to improve energy efficiency in their homes. The program goal is to save 2,000 kW.

“Franklin Energy has a long history of delivering results in residential programs in major metropolitan areas,” said Mark Bowen, Vice President of Business Development and Sales at Franklin Energy Services. “Based on this experience, along with our current work in the Mid-Atlantic region, including New York, we have developed an industry leading approach to address high growth, capacity constrained areas of the service area.”

“We appreciate Franklin Energy’s commitment to helping us deliver a focused solution to residents in the Brooklyn Queens Neighborhood Program,” said Greg Elcock, Con Edison Section Manager Targeted Demand Management, Energy Efficiency and Demand Management. “We’ve already started the process for this new program and I am confident it will end with the results we, and our customers, are aiming for.”

Franklin Energy will grow their office in Long Island City, encouraging economic development by providing local jobs for 27 fulltime employees.
