Official British Press Trip to Northern Cyprus a success

The trip was organised to highlight the beauty and diversity that North Cyprus offers not just for the ever-increasing tourist numbers but also the ever-increasing numbers of property buyers.

The major developers on the island were represented by the head of the Developers Association, Soner Yetkili, who takes great pride in the high standard of construction carried out on the island and was delighted to meet and express the his pride and passion for his country.

Soner says that the developers in North Cyprus have noticed and huge interest in property buying of late, due in the main he believes to the value of properties. Also not being in the Eurozone has a big impact and quite simply the British in particular love the island and it is very obvious to anyone that visits why it is being chosen as a preferred retirement location having all the services needed for comfortable living at a fraction of the price of other European destinations. It really does offer true value for money giving a considerably higher (and much warmer) standard of living.

Soner says that many people who visit for the first time are pleasantly surprised and there is a saying in North Cyprus that no-one ever visits once.

David Richardson, Managing Director of Property Sun Turkey Limited says that his company took the step a few months ago to not just sell properties on mainland Turkey but due to more and more enquiries he felt that the interest in North Cyprus Properties could not be ignored.

With North Cyprus’s all-year-round appeal due the climate, having previously sold properties in North Cyprus he felt the time was right to re-introduce the true value that is available.

David comments that although there is much press in respect of property buying in North Cyprus the reality and facts are that if the right guidance and due diligence is taken then the opportunity to purchase a wonderful home on this beautiful unspoilt part of the island is no different to buying anywhere else in the world.

Both Soner of the North Cyprus Developers Association and David Richardson of Property Sun Turkey Limited would like to thank Seda Aslan of Seda Consulting for making the trip possible and will be pleased to welcome visitors and property buyers alike to this wonderful unspoilt tranquil part of the Mediterranean.

Ersan Saner, Ministry of Tourism and Environmental Culture gave a briefing to British journalists about the economy of Northern Cyprus and the importance of geographical aspects for Northern Cyprus Tourism as a natural paradise with its kilometres-long golden, sandy beaches, four season sunshine and magnificent historical ruins left by various civilisations throughout its 9,000-year-long history.

Mr Saner also highlighted the growing potential of buying properties in Northern Cyprus as Turkey will always support the need to provide a long-term safe and secure investment vehicle in property sales, which will contribute value into the economy.

Editor’s Note

Never-ending sunshine and close to home, Northern Cyprus in the Mediterranean is unspoilt and sunny all-year round, with golden beaches, sincere hospitality and fun with a rich history and culture.

The many journalists who attended had not previously been to the island. They were not just amazed at the unspoilt natural beauty but also the exceptionally high standard of services from the restaurants, bars and cafés to world class health facilities. It was very obvious why North Cyprus is destined to be one of the top places to buy in 2010.

Come and Discover NORTH CYPRUS!
